Pretty much all Charlie

It's been a very simple Spring Break for the three youngest kids and I only have photo evidence of Charlie's fun stuff. I'm sure Brock and McClane have had fun but there's no photo proof.

We finally have the trampoline set up. (This cost way more then expected.)

Now if only the weather would cooperate!

Charlie spent a couple days with her sister and nieces, which led to some fun stuff. Butterflies, bowling, and friends for the win.

She also convinced Gina to let her tagalong while Gina ran errands.

And, I can't forget to mention, Greg and I had the great privilege of attending "Messiah in America" last Saturday. This was a production of 3 Nephi Chapter 18 that can't be expressed in words. It was phenomenal! A kind friend and ward member, who was part of the choir, extended the invitation and supplied the tickets and got us incredible seats. It was an experience we would have, otherwise, never known about but one we won't want to miss in the future. Don't walk, but run to get your tickets if the opportunity presents itself to see this amazing musical.

And I also have to mention prayers, even odd ones, are answered! I won't go into detail, because it would be too confusing, but I prayed for a comedian to learn more about our church because he was convinced 'mormon's' aren't christian's and, believe it or not, he came to do a comedy show and while in Salt Lake attended a sacrament meeting! Pretty crazy! And now my next prayer and hope in a miracle is he'll have David Butler on his podcast where he can get a real deep dive into what we believe. Let the miracle commence!

Best Sunday!

I don't know much about Charlie's photo, I just found it in my photo gallery and I thought it should be shared.
Sunday we had the best visit from Reese and family. Elliot was obsessed and wouldn't leave Reese alone. She just kept hugging and chasing her, it was pretty adorable.  We never want to miss a visit with Reese and family.

What a goof-ball.

Reese just wanted to be free but Elliot wouldn't allow it.

Those eyes and her cute smile!

Elliot is truly in heaven. She was literally obsessed.

A few other things, the best bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers.

My nails are a perfect match to my water bottle and I love it. I told the kids the first person to buy me a sports car in this color wins "favorite-person" forever. Carter was especially set off by this announcement and went on a 10 minute tirade about how greedy I am. He's fun!

And then, the same Carter mentioned above, traded his motorcycle for another motorcycle. I couldn't tell you much about the difference in the two Yamaha bikes, but Carter will tell you this one is better, faster and worth more then he traded & paid. Whatever it is, he's happy.

We are headed into our Spring break and we're really hoping the weather will allow the kids to enjoy time outside, and if all goes as planned, we'll have a fully functioning trampoline before the week even starts. How is it nearly April!?

Not photoed

Not a lot of photos. Charlie regularly harasses us to take her to all the different drink shops and here's photo proof that her harassment works, more often than not. (Tell me you’re the baby of the family without telling me you’re the baby of the family.)

Not pictured is a visit to Mark and Rio's new place in North Salt Lake, a new hair cut for McClane and daily hairdos for our friend & neighbor in preparation for her play performances, which we'll be attending tonight.
    And HAPPY SPRING!

Surprise photos

I didn’t think I had any photos for this week’s post only to find these surprise gems in my photo gallery. You’re welcome!
Megamind or Charlie?

Such a ‘special’ angle.

This week Isaac has officially moved out and McClane has moved into Isaac's old room and he's so stoked. Isaac's new place is very nice and, with Morgan's help, he's all moved in and it's quite cozy.
Daylight Savings has been great, so far, and only 69 sleeps until schools out!

A couple fun events

We got to attend a baptism for our good friends youngest son, Kallen, and it was a great day and all four of their boys sang "I Love to See the Temple" and it's one of the most memorable renditions I've heard to date. (There may have been an outburst of giggling that was on the verge of hysterical laughter from one of the brothers and it made the whole thing perfect!)

He's the same cute boy who rode with Greg in the plow truck a few weeks ago.

McClane's basketball season is now officially over and despite losing every game, the team showed vast improvement throughout the season and seemed to have fun at every game.
This was a great team and we love the coach!

And I'm now on to my St. Paddy day nails. I even got gems!

A little better photo of the team at the first, and last, game of the tournament division.

So what hasn't been photographed, but what is happening recently is Mark and Rio are moving up in the world and have found a much nicer place to live and will be moving in just a few days. And Isaac and Morgan have also found a place to live after their married, but until then, Isaac will be moving in to the place in just a few short days so, so long to his rent payments to me every month, and hello to a bigger rent payment for him. And no one is more excited for Isaac to move out then McClane because that means he's getting to take over Isaac's bedroom and he's been making plans for months on how he's going to occupy that space. (It's only too bad I can't collect rent from McClane.)
So there's the latest and greatest for us. Happy Springing-forward this weekend!

Fun with friends

We had fun at Lucky 13 Bar & Grill with good friends. Delicious burgers and some great guacamole.

How did they know to put that leg-lamp behind us?!
Definitely worth the drive into the city.

And then Charlie finished up her basketball season and at her last game she made lots of points, her best game overall.

Fun team.
I can’t believe we’re headed into March! Only one more week before daylight savings begins and only 83 more sleeps before the last day of elementary school for us.

A little something

A little snow, a little plowing for Greg (and some guests) and a little photo shoot for Smalls.

Our friends let their two boys tagalong with Greg while he was plowing and they loved it.

And for some reason Charlie had this photo shoot with Smalls. He's nearly 10 years old and it's starting to show.

Not a lot of excitement this week. Just days racing by and the sun staying up past 5:30 P.M.!

Last Valentine's Dance!

Another cute set of Valentine-themed gel-nails. A fairly good amount of snowfall. Surprise Valentine treats and flowers. And Charlie's 6th grade dance, and one more 'last-dance' at the elementary school for me!

Thanks goodness it's already nearly all melted away!

We must have a cute Valentine Hairdo!

Thank goodness Greg was the parent on the hook for the dancing.

Charlie definitely preferred hanging out with her friends.

Proof we were there.

Group dances are the favorite dances.

A nice week. 197 sleeps until the last day of school and even less sleeps until warmer weather and longer days!

We actually did some things

Saturday we attended the baptism of a good friend and got to spend a little time with the grand-girls. I had to grab a picture of the two who insisted on sitting on the smaller chairs.

Elliot liked sitting on a whole stack of chairs and brought over no less then 5 chairs to be stacked before she sat down. It was hilarious.

I finally got a couple photos of McClane playing basketball. This last game was probably the best game his team has played all season, but sadly they still lost.

Beau and Harley brought over cute Valentine cards for a few of us.

And this week turned into a few dentist appointments with a subsequent orthodontist visit for McClane.
This is how you spend your wait time at the dentist office.

And just when I thought we were getting ahead of our finances, the dishwasher springs a leak and needs to be replaced. So much for our credit card cash rewards going in the bank!

So that's about it. Back to doing dishes the easy way.

Throwback to June 2022

Another slow week and no photos to share so I decided to throw-back to, nearly three years ago, when I saw these two comedians perform and got to meet them after the show. It was great and today, Aaron, on the right, dropped his 30 minute special on YouTube, "Aaron Weber, Signature Dish". It's hilarious & well worth your time if you feel inclined to check it out.

Good-bye January! We're ready for this year-long month to be over.

No celebrating but gearing up

Have I mentioned lately how much I love getting my nails done!? This latest set, gearing up for Valentine's day, is a new favorite. I'm obsessed!

Sadly, I have no other photos to share and really nothing new or exciting to report about. It's just a typical week in sad, cold January.

Brock's 17!

We had a pretty chill week and a simple celebration for Brock's 17th birthday. He got the exact gift he asked for and the infamous jello-cheesecake he loves, hopefully that makes for a happy young man.

A curved gaming monitor.

He's very own jello-cheesecake. (Not photographed, but it must be documented, he also got Mt. Dew, Taki's and sushi.)

And Charlie did pretty great at her most recent basketball game, especially considering half the team was m.i.a. so she had to play nearly the entire game with only one short break.

What's next? We'll see! (And lets not forget, only 125 sleeps until we're done with elementary school!)

Bonus Reese photos and a bit more

We're still on cloud-9 after our time with Reese and only wish we saw her more often. She's just the cutest and here's most of the photos that Greg had on his phone.

Just like Harley, she loved playing with Joey's glasses.

And today we had a couple hours with the '3-crazies' and I couldn't help putting in some braided pigtails.

A rare snuggle from the craziest of the crazies.

We've made it through our first full week of school and work of the New Year and, so far so good. Next week we celebrate Brock's birthday and keep counting down the school days at the elementary level. (Only 132 more sleeps.)
And, no photos yet, but basketball season has officially started for Charlie and McClane.
