Projects and dreams coming true

We finally got around to putting together our fun Kiwi projects that Grandpa Baker so generously sent our way. The spin art was awesome and Charlie has been enjoying herself thoroughly. Thankfully Isaac enjoyed the spin art project enough to do the second fun box, air cannon's, another success!
Isaac and Charlie were our project managers.

Charlie got to sing in Sacrament meeting with her primary class and had this pretty new dress to boost her confidence.

My new chair arrived and is awesome! Doing Isaac's taxes definitely paid off for both of us!

A reclining chair!

Air Cannon project.

A rare glimpse at the cat and dog's staring contest. Georgia's always ready to play but she has to wait to see what Sapphire is in the mood for. Cats are such diva's!

And believe it or not, Carter is just weeks away from his 16th birthday and in preparation for his big day we helped him find this fun little 1994 Mazda B4000. He's about as happy as he's ever been in his life and the next few weeks are going to be torture! Now he can get a job and pay back his loan!
Oh to be a first time driver! FREEDOM!!!

Remember when Carter was a tiny baby and Jackie was headed out on her mission!? Wasn't that just the other day? How do I already have 4 out of 7 kids driving? This 'time' thing is a trip!
So that's the week's highlights and now we're in Winnemucca, NV and headed to Oregon tomorrow for our Spring break. Next week's post will most likely be a photo explosion. Can't wait!

Mother nature

The weather may not have been my favorite this week, (I really hate the wind!) but mother nature can sure make some pretty pictures. The sunset the other night was gorgeous! As for activities this week, it's been pretty quiet. Isaac is, kind of last minute, making plans to go to the prom with our neighbor and friend, Sydney. We're on a count down to our upcoming Spring Break vacation and Greg, Carter and Isaac are currently on their way to White Rock for a priest quorum camp out. And that's all I've got folks!

Oh but I do have to remind you to watch "Nate Bargatze's Greatest Average American" Netflix special if you haven't already, it's so funny and 100% clean and family friendly! And if I already recommended it then a second recommendation must mean something.

Free stuff!!

Fun week and free stuff! For the third time money just appeared in my account and with that 'free' money I decided to make a few furniture changes. I know we bought a new couch recently for the front room but it was too big and not a good fit for the space so with the free money I bought another new couch that fits better and hopefully will be a good addition to the front room. I also replaced the chairs because the other chairs had already started to collapse when you sat on them and that's not comfortable. I didn't spend a fortune so this new furniture may not last too long but it's always fun to have new stuff! And it's even better when its with money we didn't have to work to get!
Baby Beau likes to chill in the windowsill with the dogs.

She also thinks she's tiny because she was sure she would fit in this Barbie chair.
(She also tried skating on the Barbie skateboard.)

And speaking of free stuff, our generous Bishop hooked us up with quite a few Built Bars. Unfortunately the box full of carrot cake flavored ones are not appealing to anyone but we're going to keep trying to find that special person who just might like them.

New couch and oh yeah, I also bought a new clock!

Charlie and McClane are pretty happy with the new couch. McClane was actually our shopping buddy and helped with the decision.

And there's the new chairs. They're tiny but a great fit for this small living space.

So that's the weeks highlights. I'm also getting a new chair for my bedroom but that was also 'free' because Isaac agreed to buy it for me if I did his taxes for him, which I did and it was a nightmare so I feel like I earned it. (Instead of a "sugar daddy" he's like my "sugar son". Ha!)

Charlie meets Charlie

It's been a very quiet week. I spent the first part of the week babysitting for a friend who had her 8th baby Monday night. Sadly I didn't take any photos of these cute kids I was watching but the 4/5 year old told me "You are really bad at making paper airplanes, but that's ok." Hilarious and spot on! Such good kids and a fun reminder that I'm glad I'm done with diapers and I'm so glad I didn't have my kids so close together because I'm definitely not cut out for 3 kids in diapers at once. My friend is definitely a rockstar mom! (Eight kids 13 and under!)
Last Sunday evening Charlie got to meet baby Charlie, our neighbors grandbaby. He's about as cute and round as they come!
Cute baby Charlie!

We're looking forward to the time change. It's not everyone's favorite but I love it!!

Twinsies

Charlie found a match at church, a dress match. Fun times.

Charlie with neighbor and friend, Lillie

Charlie always gets a kick out of seeing photos of herself in the different positions she falls asleep in.
Shoes on and her show playing on the iPad, classic.

And this photo reflects where a lot of my free time goes, I've spelled over 1 million words playing this game. (I think this took me at least a couple years.)
Don't even get me started on the time I spend playing solitaire.

It's been such a nice week with lovely weather and I've had the keys to Isaac's Camaro so I've really been enjoying myself. I don't know if Isaac will get his car back when he returns from his trip to Oregon, I'm pretty sure it's meant to be mine! It also came in handy when we had to take the Armada in to get an oil leak fixed. Now if only Greg wasn't terrified to be my passenger in the Camaro. Ha ha

Mostly Beau

We've had a nice week and we've had a couple fun days with Beau here keeping us on our toes. She's definitely a busy little girl!
Georgia's obsessed with anyone who will love her.

While mom's getting her hair done Beau let Joey fix her hair. (I'm Joey.)

Beau definitely favors Charlie over any of us.

And when you ask Grandpa Mitch to get chocolate chips for the baby you get this!

Fun week with a lot more sunshine and a little warmer temperatures. We may need a bit more snow in the mountains but I'm definitely looking forward to the time change in a couple weeks and some more spring like weather.

Valentine's Day and a bit more

We finally got the real Isaac! He finally loosened his 'purse strings' and got a nice haircut and he looks so handsome!
And the chain is just the right amount of bling. (P.S. He approved this photo and the goofy face.)

Charlie wanted to document our 'matching' polka dot dresses. It's always nice when we can wear a dress and actually go to the church building.

And Sunday naps are great but sometimes weird and awkward with Georgia.

And Greg did a great job treating me to a few gifts for Valentine's Day. I wish I could really taste the treats but I can at least tell the difference between sweet and salty.
I love slipper socks!

And Kayli even had a little gift for me, which was sweet.

But, surprise, surprise! Isaac WINS again! He had a $30 box of chocolates for me, which far out 'weighed' all the other gifts, ha ha. He even had a fun gift for Charlie.
This is a lot of chocolate!

Charlie was thrilled with this fun Valentine surprise. Isaac's the favorite for sure!

And then we had our President Day 'fun'! Greg was kind enough to clean under some of the kids beds. Now I know where a lot of socks have disappeared to and a few other items. What a bunch of slobs!

And how pretty is the sun shining on the top of the mountains!? I'm just so happy to see blue sky and sun for a minute.

We definitely got lots of snow this week and it was definitely needed. I think our snowpack is getting near the 100% mark. Greg had a few early mornings until his truck broke down and then he got a little break. He realized he actually might have some control issues because he was a little stressed not having a plow-truck or the ability to push snow in anyway. It didn't help that another truck was also broke down, leaving them with only two other trucks to work with, but it all worked out. At least we've had working utilities! I'll take a few more weeks of winter but then I'll be praying for a quick change to spring weather!
