Proof

We had a nice week and another couple gatherings with Greg's buddies. I still don't have all the photos that were taken but I did get a couple while they sat around at our house. It's always fun when these guys get together and reminisce.
Buddies for life

Greg may be allergic to cats but they're not allergic to him.

Cuddling with the neighbor's cat on their sun porch.

And occasionally I find selfies of Charlie on my phone.

Charlie and Kat.

Recently Charlie's had a substitute teacher at school and he's fascinated by her hairdos everyday and refers to her hair as 'hair-origami' so now the pressure is on for me to 'impress' him with a different hair style every day. This 👇 was the most recent one. Next week is going to be a big disappointment because I'll be away in St. George and her hair is going to be far from fancy while I'm gone but I'm sure looking forward to a week down south where it might be a few degrees warmer then it is here.

Greg is currently on a 'camp out' with the priest quorum. Charlie's basketball game was cancelled and she's planning on having a sleep over with her nieces and the rest of us are going to hang out and take it easy. And did I mention Greg and I are going to St. George next week?! I'm pretty excited about it!

Valentine's 2022

We've had a great week but very few photos to share. Our Valentine's Day was simple but Greg did take me to Harley Davidson to splurge on a new ring, which I love. We actually had several fun visits with Greg's childhood buddies this week but I don't have photos. Other people took photos and hopefully I get them eventually and can post them on a future blog post. One of Greg's buddies was here visiting from Illinois for a funeral so it was a prime time to get together.

And Marie requested a photo from when I was younger and I came across this gem and a few others and figured I might as well share at least one.
We had no idea what we were getting into!

Only a few more days left of this month and then I get to escape to St. George with Greg while he attends his water conference.

A good variety.

It's been a fun week. Brock got to go ice fishing with his Teacher's quorum and he was successful and had a great time. Georgia had her puppies at the breeders, 8 puppies, and we're still debating whether we'll take her back after she's done weaning her puppies. We had a fun burn barrel night and Beau was more then happy to hang out with Charlie.

Learning the ropes of ice fishing.

Yay! Success.

Twinning!

She is one big momma.

The first 4.

Burn Barrel's are the best!

More twinning.

Too cool!

And Greg's been reminiscing with his buddies and this gem of a photo was shared and if you zoom in on Greg there's little, to no doubt, who Mark resembles the most.
Rabbit hunting 1992.

So a lot of fun stuff! Now we're headed into the Super Bowl Sunday weekend where we have all the best foods and pretend to watch the game/commercials.

It's all about Charlie.

Only photos of Charlie this week. It's not that she's the favorite, she's just the most social and has a friend with a great mom who takes and shares photos. Charlie got to attend her friend Benny's official birthday party and she had a 'fun' visit at the dentist getting some cavities filled and then another fun play-date with her buddy, Benny.
Skating!

Crooked face!

Yummy smoothies.

The rest of the kids did fun things this week too but there's no photo evidence. Isaac started a new job at Ken Garff Honda and said good riddance to Little Ceasars. (Carter's still doing the pizza game though, so we'll still get a free pizza now and again.) Nothing else too earth shattering has happened, same old same old.

Dates

So Carter and Charlie had some fun date photos I want to share. Charlie's got a new buddy, Benny, who's recently moved to Alpine and they've become fast friends. She recently got to spend his birthday with him and they definitely had a blast. They went to Scheels and rode the ferris wheel and then got ice cream.
And Carter finally got photos back from the last school dance that he went to so I can finally share those.
They made friends with this girl while waiting in line.
Who do you think is from Utah?! Shorts, on a winter night, eating ice cream, only a native Utahn would be so bold! Those are definitely shivers in her eyes!

Cute couple!

Carter and his good friend, Keaton.

The four 'boyzz'!

Looks like a fun group of young men.

What a background!

And Charlie got new heart leggings so it only made sense to do a heart hair-do.

These sunsets are the best!

Some fun stuff! And we've, pretty much, survived our first month of 2022 so things are looking good. Lets bring on February!

Brock's 14th birthday.

We celebrated Brock's 14th birthday recently. We didn't do anything too wild but he was mostly satisfied with our simple celebration style. Aside from Brock's birthday fun it's been a pretty simple week.

Any excuse to have her photo taken.

Just what he requested.

Ice cream cake from Cold Stone. (I definitely prefer Costco's chocolate cake but it never hurts to branch out occasionally.)

And on very rare occasions the cat decides she needs to nap in my lap and because it's such a rare event I decided I better document it.

We do have basketball still going on and both Charlie and McClane are still figuring it out and having fun as they learn. I attended a few minutes of the local Lone Peak Varsity girls basketball game this week and it was definitely a different experience compared to 3rd grade girls and 5th grade boys. Ha!

Basketball 2022

Charlie and McClane started their basketball season and are pretty happy about it. It was Charlie's very first time and it started with literally no practice, just a game, and she did great and made three baskets. McClane had 3 practices before his first game and he also did great and they're both excited to play a few more times in the next several weeks.

Currently the kids have been sent home from school for a 'At-home-learning' experience, that is set to go until Wednesday, in an effort to curb the Covid issues. I'm hoping it really is only a few days because these kids do not do well with the 'At-home-learning'. When will the lunacy end!?
