Weeds, family, July 4th and cars

Our new grass was looking good, minus all the chinese elm that had taken residence so over the weekend we began the overwhelming process of pulling it out by hand and after our ice cream gathering and all the helping hands, we got it all done and it looks so much better!

Kayli, Tanner and the girls took some great family photos.

Cute Wendel family.

And now they're 5!

Greg and I went with a couple neighbors on a beautiful hike the morning of July 4th.

So green and gorgeous.

The view is always spectacular and worth the effort.

That's one way to keep track of the binkie.

Isaac and his buddies out on a Spyder tour.

MR2 enthusiast for sure!

Epic photo shoot.

So I failed to take even one photo of fireworks or our neighborhood "Sidewalk of Fire" on the 4th but it was a great evening and a few of the neighbors went all out on the fireworks show.
Greg and I celebrated, informally,  28 years of marriage yesterday. Next weekend we're hoping to have a more formal celebration but obviously nothing too crazy. $$$ is tight!

Summer fun & camp highlights

While I was at girls camp Kayli kindly kept Charlie busy since all of her friends were out of town. She did some water activities at the splash pad and adventures at Thanksgiving Point. McClane got some snuggles from baby Elliot. Greg's new front lawn is looking great. We had yummy burgers at a cool food truck. Charlie's friends returned and she was right back spending every second of the day with them, including swimming and naps. Lots of fun stuff!

Harley's face is priceless.

The fry sauce was so special!

Fun times at Sunday ice cream.

 The girls love the hammock.

Silly Harley.

And today Greg treated me to a fantastic bike ride up Provo canyon past Conrad ranch. It was awesome!

Perfect day for a ride!

Another great summer week! We are finally getting some real summer weather and I love it. Now on to the 4th of July!

A fun variety with several grandkid photos.

We had such a fun weekend and week. We had a neighborhood workout before Saturday pancakes at our friends house. Tanner and his buddy came and led us all in a few different rotations of exercises and they plan on doing this for another 7 weeks, so that should be fun. The grandkids had so much fun, especially Harley, who really got into the workout and then into the dog kennel. Greg showed up as 'grandpa' after all the working out was done and of course there was more fun Sunday as we celebrated Father's day and had our weekly ice cream gathering.

Silly Harley.
Harley loves rides on the bikes.

Silly 'grandpa'.

A quick motorcycle ride on a beautiful Saturday afternoon.

Greg got to mow his new front lawn for the first time Sunday morning. (Don't judge, he wanted to for Father's day.)

A father's day gift bag from his non-wife and non-kids.

Cute Kenzie and Harley hanging out at ice cream.

Baby Elliot is always being snuggled by someone.

I spent the better part of the week at girls camp and I don't feel comfortable sharing photos with the young women in our ward without permission so I'll just show you the view from our few hours at Deer Creek Reservoir on our last full day of camp. We sure live in a beautiful place!

I'm sure there's several photos that were taken of just me but I don't know when I'll see them but I did plenty of hair braids, enjoyed every minute with our amazing young women and was in awe of our amazing camp director, her assistant and of course our young women's president and nurse. I feel blessed to be a part of such a great group, it's my favorite job in the church!

A little Charlie, a little help.

After our fun weekend with the Atkinson's our week was a lot slower and less eventful. Charlie still managed to have fun with friends but the rest of us have kept things simple. Greg and I did go on a little french fry taste comparison with a couple friends and had several nice evenings on the porch, but no photos to share. I did capture a fun photo of Greg wearing reading glasses for one of the first times. He just might be showing his age!

Paddle boards at Highland Glen.

And fun face masks.

Welcome to the club, old man.

We're looking forward to celebrating Father's day Sunday and I'll be getting ready for girl's camp that begins in just 4 short days. So let this cool/rainy/stormy summer break continue but hopefully with a bit more sunshine.

Young men adventures and more

Greg, Carter, Brock, and McClane had quite the adventure with the young men on their 'high adventure'. It started at the Vernal Temple doing baptisms, then on to river rafter, fishing, and shotgun shooting at Flaming Gorge. An overall good time!

They had to knock on the door to get in.

Carter was definitely living his best life.

Brock having a blast!

Goofball.

And that's a NO!

McClane living it up.

Here at home we're also having fun.

Cute baby Elliot.

My peonies are amazing this summer.

Sickly snuggles from Harley.

Then Jackie and the Atkinson girls came for a visit and mostly to meet baby Elliot.
Everyone loves a baby snuggle.

Can't skip a trip to Snoasis.

Rolling, rolling, rolling.

So much fun with cousins, siblings and nieces.

So there's another photo explosion. I'm sure we'll have a few more photos to post next week as we continue to enjoy a couple more days with all the Atkinson girls. Great start to the summer!
