A little fun in addition to Thanksgiving

We had some fun stuff going on last weekend. Charlie got to have a fun late night with her 'bestie', Kat. Greg and McClane got to go on a little camp out with a few priest quorum boys and leaders. And we had a fun Sunday with the grandbabies. And then it was Thanksgiving and it was a great day and we had plenty of yummy food and although we were missing several extended family members we still managed to enjoy our time at G & G Kmetzsch's.

Greg and McClane enjoying their time at the sand dunes.

McClane may not be priest age yet but neither is Buddy. Ha ha, fun times.

All my kids and grandkids together for Thanksgiving.

Beau wasn't too excited about dinner, at first, but she finally came around.

This cutie was the best.

Charlie learning to play "Cover your Assets" with cousins and Grandma and Grandpa.

So now it's time to get serious about Christmas! So far we've got the majority of our decor up and just have Christmas lights to put up outside and a new wreath is on its way. I've also done a good chunk of the shopping this past week. I still don't know how it's holiday season but a little snow might help bring some Christmas spirit but sadly there's nothing on the upcoming weeks forecast but we'll see what we can pray into effect.

Fun extended

We had an extra day of fun celebrating Greg's birthday. We went on a nice motorcycle ride with a few of our neighbors, which was super fun and we stopped for some really yummy pizza in Santaquin. Then, later that night, we went for ice cream with the same neighbors plus a couple more. Greg was pretty happy to get out on the motorcycle for the first time in a long time. And bonus, free pinball games at the ice cream parlor!
Brock had fun at a campout with his Deacons quorum. They were at Scout Cave up in American Fork Canyon.

No motorcycle photos but here's the gang at ice cream.

Greg was having the 'best day ever'!

Cute Harley showing Charlie some love.

And McClane found this clever phone holder idea on TikTok. (We might have a device problem at this house.)

Greg is on a campout this weekend with the Priest Quorum and he snuck McClane along and I'm sure they're going to have a blast. They're headed to the sand dunes. And in case you don't know, Thanksgiving is in less then one week! WHAT?! That's crazy!! Have a great Thanksgiving!!

Happy 49th birthday to Greg!

It's today! It's today! Happy 49th birthday to this guy! We're so lucky to have such a great husband, Dad and grandpa! He's the hardest worker, most helpful and kind guy around!
A cordless grinder, just what he wanted. (So he bought it for himself.)

Charlie's sausage 'cake' will work.

Here's a few throw back photos that capture some of his personality.

We may not have celebrated 'big' but we feel BIG love for him nonetheless!

Halloween 2021

Only a few photos this week. The kids had a fun Halloween and life has been a lot simpler this week.
Charlie's trick or treat crew.

Not a bad haul for this "Unicorn Rider".

And the "Dinosaur Rider" didn't do too bad either.

Sadly the only photo I got of Brock was a screen shot of his snapchat.

So now we're in November and that's just crazy!

Bryce Canyon and more fun photo overload

So Greg decided, for a reward to himself after a long, stressful, Pressurized Irrigation season, he would take the three youngest kids and me down south to Bryce Canyon for a little adventure. After living in Utah his whole life and 26 years for me, it was about time we saw some of the natural wonders this State has to offer. (We would have taken more kids but sadly they have jobs and had to stay behind.)
When you just need to make a little Jiffy Pop but want to stay out on the porch.

It wasn't long into our adventure before we started seeing some really cool, but different, mountain views.
Let the fun begin. This was just shortly after leaving the Richfield area.

This was part of the Osiris Creamery, we think.

One of my favorite hidden treasures we found on our little adventure.

And now on to the main event.

So many cool view points and a lot of the same but different views.

This is all definitely worth seeing at least once in a lifetime.

This crow wanted to be in everyone's photos.

In between visiting national parks we took a little/long hike to Lower Calf Creek Falls and along the way were these cool petroglyphs.
If this isn't the 3 Nephites own petroglyph I'm going to be so bummed!

Lower Calf Creek Falls. A long hike/trail but worth it! (McClane might disagree.)

A great hiding spot along the trail.

The kids were all champs, no complaints from any of them, but it definitely was longer then any of us expected.

This was the National Park I wanted to see.

The Petroglyphs were definitely a favorite for the kids.

Headed out to see Hickman's Bridge. A much shorter/easier hike then the day before.

The front and back view of Hickman's bridge.

Another fun cubby hole.

The beams above the pool at the hotel were pretty awesome.

The kids were more excited about swimming in the hotel pool then anything else.

Cute little chipmunk.

Once we got home it was back to school and real life.

Crazy hair day!

Happy 19th birthday to Isaac.

Halloween day at school for these two!

Only three more Halloween parades to go, for me!

So that's probably enough updating for more then a week but I'm sure I'll find something to share next weekend anyway. Happy Halloween weekend!
