Saturdays are fun

We love Saturdays! Fiiz, McClane's final basketball game, where he played great, and we had a fun visit from the grand-babies.

No better way to start your weekend.

These boys improved and progressed a ton this season.

Charlie is always happy when she's with friends.

Harley was having the best time cruising the neighborhood in her sweet 'ride'.

So that's last weekends highlights. The whole weeks been pretty chill and thankfully we've seen a little sun the past couple days, now how long will it last? Spring, we're impatiently waiting for your arrival!

Charlie and friends

This week I didn't take many photos but Charlie and her friends are constantly taking photos and they happily share them with me so here's a few from this past week.

Charlie's friends came to Charlie's last basketball game and really cheered her on.

Kat, Madi, and Mackenzie and of course Charlie.

We had a pretty simple week. Today is McClane's last basketball game and then we get our Saturday's back. Now if only those Saturdays will start to be more Spring-like, maybe we can start spending more time outside. OH! And only 289 more sleeps until Christmas and don't forget to Spring-forward your clocks!

Crash!

Nothing like a loud crash to wake you up at 4 A.M. on a Sunday morning. What's crazy is Greg heard the crash but couldn't seem to find the source but when I got up a few hours later and headed downstairs it became crystal clear what caused the noise. Why the top of the mantle broke off and came crashing down is still a bit of a mystery, but thankfully it was at an hour when no one was around and I honestly never really loved the design of the mirror/mantel above the fireplace so not a big disappointment. The wood was sure heavy though and only had two screws to anchor it to the wall so it's actually a surprise this didn't happen long ago.

Thankfully this was the only accident of the week. No trips to InstaCare and no other issues and a pretty slow week over all, which is why I don't have any other photos to share. And could someone please put a stop to winter and snow, please!? I'm over winter already!

Cousins, friends, hooks to the head

We had the best time with the Atkinson's. Of course we made a trip to Fiiz, had a fun time at Scheels and a couple girls gave us a comedy show shortly before the Atkinson's had to head home. Good times and great memories were made.

Nothing like a sugar filled drink to start your Saturday.

Sadly, the ferris wheel wasn't working, but the kids found other fun things to do.
Great photo ops at Scheels.

Who are these weirdos?!

I can't remember even one joke to share but they were hilarious.

Charlie and Kat built a bridge and it tested pretty well and withstood over 100 lbs. of pressure before it started to break.

Harley thought Georgia needed help seeing more clearly.

And to end our week, or start another weekend, Carter decided to ditch school and go fly fishing with his buddy, Jamison, only to get a hook to the back of his head. Fun times at the Instacare.

R.I.P. to Carter's girlfriend's hoodie.

He survived and maybe he'll think twice about ditching school. (Yeah, right!)

Don't worry, that's hoodie on the hook, not flesh.

Fun week! We don't need to talk about the blizzard-y Wednesday weather that kept the kids home from school. And we don't need to mention the additional 4 inches of snow that fell this morning that sent Greg out at 5 a.m. to push more snow! I think we need to hunt down that darn groundhog and string him up because I'm definitely not ok with 6 more weeks of winter! Where are you Spring!!

Mostly Valentine's and a little more.

Charlie had a fun basketball game. She's two games away from the end of her season.

Most of her teammates.

Charlie loves spending time with her friends and taking lots of photos.

I got to take a day trip with Greg up to Ogden a day before Valentine's to visit this great store with gobs and gobs of rings and most of them were only $2.50. I got a lot of fun rings for very little money!

The only ring that cost more then $2.50 is the purple one. Definitely worth the drive and we had a great lunch at this yummy Mexican restaurant. We'll definitely be back.

More fun with friends.

I had my last 6th grade Valentine dance with my last son Tuesday. I still have Charlie's to attend in two years but it will be Greg's job to dance with her.
McClane's a good sport.

Lots of cute girls to dance with.

He wouldn't tell me which girl was his 'crush'.

A fun group of buddies.

And for our long weekend we have the Atkinson's here for a visit. Fun!
Texas Roadhouse take-out for the win!

It's been a fun, eventful week. We're excited for our weekend with the Atkinson's!

Cat

We didn't do anything too crazy this week. Ate take-out with friends a couple times and all the regular things. I did capture this cute photo of our neighbor Syd and the cat. And the grandkids were here Sunday and Monday and Harley was a big fan of my brownies. And both grand-girls love watching a show with Brock in the basement.

So there you have it, another week done! We're all looking forward to the yummy food for Super Bowl Sunday. (Who's even playing?!)

Neighbors are the best!

A few snapshots of some of the best neighbors that every existed!

Greg and Andy hanging out at Kiki's.

Cici and Kiki putting away the latest puzzle madness.

I was just about to take a photo of the latest puzzle that was finished when Cici attempted to tighten the pieces only to have the whole puzzle collapse into itself, so no final photo but we had a great laugh.

Trying out a new look.

And sometimes we get barefoot kids running through snow in the neighborhood during Sunday evening burn barrels, pretty cute!

Not the busiest week, but a good one. Carter's car, with all the oil leaks, has finally been fixed and he is now enjoying driving it around. He's also back to working at Little Caesars. Thankfully there was no snow this week and we even got to see the sun, so a good week.
