Changes and wrapping up.

My mom and sisters said farewell Sunday morning/Mother's Day. I loved every minute of our visit and to top it off, we got to have a treat from the Chubby Baker and a yummy dinner at Chubby's Cafe where my mom treated 18 of us to a great dinner. I'm just sorry I failed to get a photo of all of us at dinner.

Good donuts but my mom was really after some swag, sadly they had none.

My kids all made good attempts to wish me a Happy Mother's day. A Fiiz gift card from Isaac, a beautiful ring from Kayli, a cool string-art project from Charlie and, not photographed, Mark coming to church with us, silly photos of me posted on Carter's Instagram and my beautiful flower pots from Greg and the two younger boys. It was a great day.

And as the school year wraps up all the projects come due. Charlie had her 'State-Fair' where she researched and reported on Oregon.

Thank goodness this project was 100% done at school.

And I got to refresh my nails and I'm loving the bright orange!

And sometimes you let your friend give you a buzz cut as the school year is nearly done. I don't know if McClane's friend was trying to punk him but it's more a bald cut vs. a buzz cut but at least hats are an option for a few weeks.

The fact that there's only 5, or less, days of school, is beyond comprehension. This school year flew and creeped along all at the same time. Let the summer break begin!

Lots of fun!

Fun with friends, family and big events.

Celebrating Makayla with four shades of braids.

Carter apparently 'graduated' or 'completed' seminary and we just found out about it.
Happy seminary completion one year late.

And cute baby Reese got her ears pierced!
Sad to happy.

And these three girls got to spend a few hours with Joey while mom was getting her nails done.

Baby Elliot had to be incarcerated, she's naughty.

Great grandma Elaine came to visit and Elliot wasn't sure about her at all.

And the best night ever, "Hope of America" was this week for Charlie and it was a blast. My mom and sisters, Jackie and Ann, came down to attend and I hope it was worth the long drive. Such a great program.

"Jean's Golden Girls" are my favorite pre-show performance.
(Photo on the jumb-tron).

These girls loved the snacks at Hope of America, popcorn and cougar-tails.

Cousin J.J. was part of the same fun night.

And my mom enjoyed watching "Escape from Germany" in the 'fancy' movie theater.
Fun times and a fabulous movie.

It's been a great week and we're looking forward to a nice weekend.

Happy birthday!

Mr. Mark is officially 24! He let us celebrate with him on Sunday with Hawaiian haystacks for dinner and chocolate cake for dessert. Sadly our gift to him is car parts, super fun, so there was no gift opening but hopefully the gift of a working truck is coming soon.

And here's a throwback from 8 years ago when he got his license to drive that same truck that needs to be fixed.

How time flies!

And cute baby Reese is officially 5 months old.

She's just the cutest!
(Photos courtesty of her mom, Jess, who sends them to Rachel, who kindly shares them with me.)

And sometimes the cat 'graces' me with her presence. She's such a princess.

Just chilling with "Sapphire", "Salmon" or "kitty", she doesn't answer to any of them. Ha ha

I can't believe it's May! Only 15 more days of school! How did that happen.

Helping with projects.

Kayli requested a little help in her front yard and her dad and two brothers kindly came to her aide. Fun stuff!

A little tree trimming.

And a little tree removal.

Looks good! I enjoyed playing with the girls while the guys did the dirty work.

It's also been a week where Carter turned 19 and he's celebrating his big day in Florida with Rachel, so no cake for us, but sunshine and beaches for him. Happy birthday #4, middle child and all around funny guy!

An oldy but a goody!

A little throw back and present day horror!

The first photo has nothing to do with the past or horror, just two cute girls with their Papa on a Sunday afternoon.

And this little gem was sent to me this week from the WAY BACK, the summer of 1988 at one of many fun-filled girl's camps in Nevada with my cousin Sara and Uncle Mike.
This was the summer before I turned 14.

Now on to the horror! I was reminded today of when Kayli cut her own hair, not once, not twice, but THREE times! These photos are from the 3rd disaster and the subsequent haircut she had to get. Who knew just 24 years later not one, but two of Kayli's own girls would cut their own hair and also need haircuts. Such naughty girls!

Sorry about the poor photo quality, this is what you have when you can only take a photo of a photo with your phone.

Back when we called Kayli 'Butch'.

What a 'fun' road down memory lane. Dang kids with scissors! They only survive because they're cute even when their naughty.

Before and after Harley's haircuts. Beau did the top style and the professional did the bottom cut.

And then, if that wasn't bad enough, Beau, who's first haircut was courtesy of Harley, had to then go and take one more whack at her own bangs and really make it obvious. There's no hiding this self haircut.
Harley's contribution.

Beau's idea of bangs getting trimmed. What a stinker!

So there it is! All scissors are officially band from existence!

Cutest girls!

I love these cute grand-girls! They're the cutest! I never will grow tired of photos of Reese and the Wendel girls hung out with me today and they're always a hoot.

Baby Reese on her first family vacation.

Elliot is adorable!

And who thinks I should get Harley her own 'grandma' glasses for birthday? She's so silly!

A great week but few photos. General Conference was great and I'm excited to study all the talks in the next 6 months. What a treat and blessing!

Happy Easter & Spring Break

Fun shared photos of baby Reese, an indoor Easter egg hunt, a garage project and my fingernail splurge. It's been a great Spring Break and Easter and I'm beyond excited for the upcoming General Conference weekend!

Baby Reese is getting so big!

The cute Wendel girls were pretty excited to hunt for eggs, sadly the weather forced us to do it inside.

The eggs were so 'hard' to find!

How cute is Elliot!?

And Greg took most the week off from work and got this corner of the garage all organized with new shelves and containers to house all his electrical and sprinkler supplies. He's so handy!

And I'm on my 3rd set of gel nails and I'm beyond thrilled, this is a luxury I'm definitely hoping I don't have to give up anytime soon.

Now lets see what the Lord has in store for us this General Conference.
