Parades, engagements and fans

We had fun attending the American Fork parade. Charlie happily collected candy and free stuff with her best friend, Makayla, cousins and nieces.

And another collage of photos taken by Harley. She's such a nut!

And, apparently, Isaac proposed to Morgan in Hawaii and I'm pretty sure she said yes! Happy Days! We're super excited to add another favorite child to the mix!

What a beautiful spot to propose!

They seem happy about something!

And Charlie has quite a fan club.

These two fans came all the way from Colorado, they're the cutest!

I feel bad that I failed to get even one photo from our July 24th celebration. We had a last minute barbecue with neighbors and, like the 4th of July, quite a spectacular fireworks show, courtesy of our best neighborhood pyro! Good times were had by all whether there's photograph proof or not. Best summer ever!

A trip, a visit and a princess.

We made a trip to Idaho and Oregon last weekend and, despite Greg's work stress, we enjoyed our visit with family. I didn't take as many photos as I should have but we had fun. And we were happy we could hear my nephew share his thoughts before leaving on his two year LDS mission to Argentina. We also had some of the best food at both my brother's house and my sister's. (It's almost like they're Baker's or something.)

Quick dinner at McDonald's.

Cousin time is the best time.

A little jam session and visit at Tad's house.

After getting back from our trip we had a visit from the three 'crazies'! These girls are such fun!

Only at Joey's house do you get goldfish and marshmallows for lunch.

Photos of Harley.

And here's the princess. I mean, who does this cat think she is?! She's living her best  life for sure.

And I may be a bit of a princess myself. I love getting my nails done and nothing makes me happier than bright colors!

So that's the fun we've been having. We won't talk about how far into summer we are and how close the new school year is. Yuck!

Best years and better to come!

Not a lot of photos, in fact just one, but it's to commemorate 29 years of marriage with the best guy around! And Kayli kindly brought us a very thoughtful gift documenting where we met, married and currently live. Super cool and who knew we'd get this far!? Kidding, who'd give up life with Greg!? I'm a lucky girl and I try not to take our happy marriage for granted. Here's to many more great years ahead!

Special Days!

Baby Reese is one of the most loved baby girls out there. She had a massive support group at her temple sealing to her fantastic family Saturday afternoon. She's a lucky girl! And we feel beyond grateful that we could be a part of her special day.

All four set of grandparents with Reese and her family.

She's the sweetest!

Truly a special day.

And then some silliness! A mom's afternoon with the blow-up waterslide and lunch on the driveway. What a great way to spend a Tuesday afternoon!

Don't worry, the kids got a turn.

And then it was July 4th!

Getting ready for the festivities with braids and bows.

Sparklers for these crazies! They prefer the fireworks that don't make noise.

And watching "Sandlot" with live fireworks in the background is probably the ultimate way to celebrate America's birthday!
Happy 4th of July!

And these firework remnants say it all! Lots of money burned and fun for all, the American way!

Quite a few memories made this past week. I love summer!

Less photos

We've had a great week but far less photos to share.
We had a fun visit from the Grand-girls.

I enjoyed a hike with our young women group up in Three Falls Tuesday evening.

This was the view from our hike.

And this morning, after debating on if I should walk at all, this hot air balloon came into view only steps from my house. Good thing I didn't skip my walk and, bonus, I found a good friend to walk with. Happy Friday for sure!

Let the record show, we're having a great summer!

Present day, a little throw back and all the in-between

What a fun week with several fun times with grandkids. McClane had his first FSY adventure down at BYU. And we got a glimpse into baby Reese's first fishing experience and a few "throw back" photos from our Moab adventure that I failed to share previously.

These girls are adorable and loved inspecting the tiny ladybug on Papa's finger.

A tie-dye kind of day for these three.

And a short video of cute baby Elliot!

It's official, she's a fisher-baby and also 100% a Shelby, adoption complete!

Father's Day was pretty great for this guy!
Pickles for the win!

I knew there had to be at least a photo or two of me braiding hair on our Moab adventure because that's where I shine.
I didn't braid everyone's hair, but almost.

And how did I not have this photo sooner?! Greg may need some tips from our Bishopric 2nd counselor on how to do proper 'duck' lips.

And McClane and our good buddy, Landon, had their first FSY experience and from what I can gather they had a blast!
I helped Landon get settled and therefore failed to get a photo of McClane in his actual dorm room so I grabbed one from outside the window, silly but better then nothing. (Glad he was on the first floor.)

And look at this gorgeous sunset! God's the best artist!

And look who popped in yesterday! These crazies!

Heading home.

They survived FSY and I'm pretty sure, McClane at least, is ready to go again!

So there you have it! Another great week of summer!
(Not photographed was a quick trip to Evanston for 'illegal' fireworks with a few neighbors. And a trip to the movies with Charlie and her two friends.)

Graphic photos and non-graphic

This first photo is proof that summer and water chores are back in full swing. Poor Greg!

Saturday Charlie had a little mishap with the neighbors treadmill. She somehow got her foot snagged while sitting by it as it was going 12 mph and it really took her for a ride. She had scrapes and bruises all over but these are the worse ones.
That thigh one has been a real beast!

But that didn't stop her from going to the Cedar Hills firework show that same night with one of our most favorite friends, Kat!

I also got some bonus photos to share from Reese's baby blessing.

The cutest grand-girls!

And a couple favorite photos for sure!

Kayli and the girls even got to have a play date with baby Reese earlier this week. Such a treat!

And some current photos of Charlie's injuries. Everything's healing nicely despite how yucky that thigh photo is. She'll be back to normal in no time.

Hopefully we can avoid scarring!

Summer is fun, even when you're hurt or have to work!
