Carter's Birthday and Easter

 CARTER'S 9!!
Happy birthday to our cute 9 year old!!
SCORE!!  Happy birthday from G&G Baker ;-)
This whole week feels like it's been full of celebrations.  Easter was fun and we really enjoyed celebrating it with Greg's family.
What is Charlie thinking of her Aunt Melissa!?
Kayli and her newest cousin, Ella Mae!
The first Kmetzsch cousin Easter Egg hunt was a success!  (A few are missing but it was just for the smallest cousins anyway.)
Our annual egg hunt was done at night by flashlight this year.
Aunt Ninin is always a hit with this girl.
J.J. couldn't get enough of "the old man", Cosmo.
Greg's deck is a huge success and the landing is the perfect spot for Melissa to give a blessing on the food ;-)
A little chocolate cake for the baby.  She loves Aunt Camille the most right now!
They finally got to enjoy their ice cream party sponsored by their Grandma Baker.  It was a HIT!!
Almost all the cousins together....Mark, Carter, Isaac, Brock, Sam, Etta, McClane, Lydia, Ava, J.J., Charlie and Ella.  (Ben was camping, Roxy was at her Mom's and Kayli was at work.)

A Charlie sandwiched with Aunties, Heidi and Melissa.
Grandma and Grandpa K. with cute baby Ella.

J.J. found himself another dog to love.
Reenacting the days when Kayli was the only baby to hold.
Aunt Shirley can't resist a snuggle with this little angel!
How cute are these three?!  Ella's giggling while Charlie's not sure how to help.

And this is how Kayli babysits her baby sister.

"Seriously, you're going to take a photo instead of helping me out."
Kayli sent this photo to me while she was home babysitting.  I didn't know what to think.
And to stay with tradition we'll end this post with the best, cutest baby we've got!!
She is so pretty in pink!  Another cute dress courtesy of Aunt Jackie!  LOVE IT!
Now that Easter is over and Melissa is headed home we'll only have baseball games and one more birthday to keep us busy this next week.  It's been FUN!

The Deck is mostly done plus more...

Greg's been working on this deck for over six weeks now and the last week or more he's been working while sick with a horrible cough but the main part is finally done now and all that's left are stairs and the facsia boards to finish it all off.
He could finally see the finish line!
And DONE!!
With the fascia board it will look a little bit nicer but it's pretty great already.
The rest of our week has been pretty busy.  Baseball season has begun and both Mark and Carter have games twice a week.  Carter's first game was on the same day as our wards pinewood derby so Carter had to bail out the last half of his game.  He placed third in the pinewood derby and Greg was happy with that.  Greg was not happy though when a fellow dad dropped his car rather roughly on the table but he kept his 'rage' mostly to himself.  I was at Mark's game and missed the whole derby and therefore have no photos and Greg only took video.  I'll have to remember to at least take a photo of Carter with his car for posterities sake.  I could give you a nice long story about the whole car making experience but I'll just say that Greg insisted on using spray paint and McClane is now a pro at using a spray can and we're still finding white paint EVERYWHERE!  Thank goodness I was gone with our black car or we might really have some graffiti problems on our hands. Thankfully we had access to graffiti cleaner for the many decking boards that were painted.  (7 kids = nothing stays nice!)
Thursday was also crazy with two baseball games and Isaac was performing in the very cool and patriotic program, "Hope of America".  Greg's parents helped us out by taking care of the baseball games while Kayli stayed home with the littlest Kmetzsch's and Greg and I took Isaac to the Marriot center in Provo for his program, which was fantastic and Isaac's green cast was a huge help in picking him out of the group of 3200+ kids making up the American flag!
Just arriving and getting to his spot.
Who knows what he was gaping at.
Calming down!
Isaac is part of the yellow border on the left hand side next to the fourth row of white shirts.
Horrible quality photo but half way through the program Isaac changed into a Giants baseball player and did a little dance on the floor with several other boys and girls.  Isaac is behind the boy in the blue hat.
That's MY BOY!!
Isaac's sitting fourth boy in from the left.
This program is just so awesome and I'm so grateful for the major work and effort that it takes to put together because it's worth it for the patriotism it instills in the kids.
And no post would be complete without a photo of our cute Charlie!
Today she road in the cart like a big girl.  She wasn't quite ready but she did alright ;-)
And P.S. Thanks for the fun Easter package Mom, the kids can't wait to enjoy their ice cream party!
Brock thought we had to go to Grandma Baker's to enjoy our ice cream party and was disappointed when we told him it would have to be here and without Grandma and Grandpa Baker in attendance.
She thinks these bowls are pretty neat.
What is she thinking?!
    Now Happy Easter and goodnight!
I dare you to try to fold over like this ;-)

8 months, deck progress & spring break

    Look who's eight months old!
One of the first photo attempts.
She wasn't feeling very smiley.
She was getting a little too excited here.
And one of the last photos.  I have no idea why she's pulling up her pant leg.
     The deck is coming along.
Charlie loves being outside where all the action is.
McClane is a devoted helper.
And he's finally getting into the nitty gritty!
Carter was a great little helper too.  And yes, Greg is using clamps to ensure straight boards.  He has clamped every. single. board. one. at. a. time.  He's such a perfectionist!
Isaac helped too but in between helping he played on Greg's phone.
All the boys wanted in on the cutting action.
The kids did get to play a 'little' over their spring break, it wasn't all work and no play, as the saying goes.  Here's some photos from our trip to Trafalgar.
McClane has finally gotten big enough to enjoy the plane ride.
Without any prompting Kayli became the perfect nanny for me.  P.S. Kayli got a hair cut this week and her hair is looking very pretty.
These two were the perfect pair for the few rides that were available.
A little miniature golf.
Rock Climbing.
And the whole group of boys, including Mark's buddy, Marcus, had one last plane ride before going home.

He owned this ride ;-)
And no post would be complete without at least one or several token photos of Charlie.
Happy smiles.
Over the top, happy smiles!
We're loving this lovely weather!!
Lovely in Lavender.
