Fun and sleep

This past week has been fun for the kids. We've made two trips to the local waterpark. Unfortunately I do not have photos to prove it because when I'm there I don't usually have any kind of camera with me. I do, however, have photos of some of the kids playing in the backyard. First they had water going down our slide and then they moved to a tarp on the grass and just had an overall great time. Charlie even decided to join in.
Brock, with Charlie, Caden & Cole (neighbor friends) cheering him on.
McClane's turn.
They slid way past the tarp.
This was a pretty fun home made slip n slide.
Charlie didn't quite know how it worked but she loved trying her own thing.
McClane also had a little cavity to be filled this week at the dentist and I snapped a picture of him while he was waiting at the dentist and playing with the train set because it's about his favorite thing to do when he's at the dentist.
He loves this little wooden train set!
Then I was feeling a little sad about losing our family pet and decided it was time I ventured down to the local "puppy barn" with Kayli just to take a look at all the cute puppies to ease my sadness. Don't worry we left all the puppies there and I really did feel better after cuddling a few cute puppies.

This is just one of the adorable puppies they had. Maybe after Kayli's Heritage Tours trip next month we will discuss getting a new dog. I thought we would wait a lot longer like until next spring but it just feels weird out back without a dog nearby.
And last but not least here are a couple of cute photos of Charlie sleeping.

I almost hated to wake them.
This coming week the boys, Mark and Isaac, will be attending our wards youth conference/"Zions Camp" down at Lake Powell on two massive houseboats along with 95 other youth from our ward. I'm sure they'll have the time of their life. And it's incredible to believe that the Fourth of July is next weekend. We're planning on having our annual neighborhood sidewalk of fire to celebrate our nation's birth, which is always fun. And we get to enjoy another week of record high temperatures and I'm not complaining.

Pretty drive and fun at the Fun Center

Instead of attending our stake conference on Sunday we opted for a drive up and over the Alpine Loop instead. It was a beautiful drive and the kids were quite well behaved. We even got to see a moose right next to the road.
This is why I love living in Utah!
Such a gorgeous day!!
What's up buddy!?

Seriously, so beautiful!
Bridal Veil Falls.
Mark stayed home, he missed out!
Monday after a family dental appointment for six of the seven kids I let them go for about an hour to the local fun center. They had a great time.
There are no lines if you get there early.
The sisters.

Mark, Isaac and Charlie having their first ride on the carousel.
She just kept saying, "Whow".
These three thought it was pretty great.

Charlie had to be forcefully removed from this boat ride.
The go-karts used to be only for the bigger kids, now they're only for the smaller kids. Carter's happy but Isaac is NOT happy! He pretty much missed the big kid stage and now he's too big for the small kid stage. What a JIP!
The very next day we went to the fun center again for another hour or so and they finally had the small roller coaster working. Unfortunately Mark opted not to join us and was pretty bummed out that he missed riding the roller coaster.
It's small but fast and the boys LOVED it!
Then we had a sad discovery arriving home after the fun center. Our dog Rosie, who had been sick for a week or so had passed away while we were gone. We really don't know what was wrong with her but we actually had an appointment made for that afternoon at the veterinarian but unfortunately it was too late. We were all very sad, especially Kayli and Brock. It's going to be strange not having a dog in the backyard.
She really was a great dog.
And lastly, I don't know if I mentioned the Norwex party I hosted a couple of weeks ago but it was a pretty great success and here's a photo of all the free items I received.
Everything here (23 items) totals over $500 and I got it all for free and I can't tell you how excited I am to use it all. I may have spent part of my Friday night testing out the mop and it's AMAZING!
If you've never heard of Norwex they sell cleaning products and they are amazing! They have silver sewn into them making them antibacterial and all you need is water and the rag to clean with and they actually kill all the bacteria. No more chemicals, and cleaning is done quick and easy. Throwing the party was a bit stressful but it definitely paid off in the end. I love this stuff!

2015 Tent City!!!

"We built tent city, we built tent city on rock N roll!" (This is to the tune "We Built This City" by Starship.) Another successful tent city with the Kmetzsch family. And we also had an official birthday cake for Kayli. Tent city is really an experience that can't be completely conveyed via technology but hopefully you can get a small vibe of the fun and craziness that goes on.
A sign/roster
Waiting for the official dinner to begin.
Ben's a happy camper.
Cute Etta and Lydia.

Happy Birthday singing is 'pathetic'!
Will this song ever end?!
Just blow out the candles, the song will NEVER end!
And then this happened! Some people wear pajamas and then some people wear PAJAMAS!!
Not only did they have fun pjs but they changed in their tent with the light accenting their silhouettes for us to enjoy the whole experience. Oops!
We still have hours of fun ahead of us and breakfast to enjoy. I may or may not get documentation but it can be shared next week. We built TENT CITY!!
