Why!?

These cool long-horned sheep were just grazing by the side of the road the other day. I'm pretty sure the salt on the road was 'calling' them down from the mountain. (This was in Cedar Hills near the mouth of American Fork Canyon.)

And then there was the time I went to the car wash and the car in front of me had a little mishap. How she/he (It had to be a woman!) managed to go off kilter is beyond me. How embarrassing!

And thanks to my silly kids I've started to entertain myself with the occasional snapchat filter. I sent this photo to Greg and asked if he would still have married me if I looked like this? He said, "Hell yes!" but I call B.S.!

I definitely would not have married him if he looked like this!

Any girl would marry my boys, though, when they look as handsome as this! Brock and McClane got much needed haircuts and they look great. McClane can't stop talking about how nice it was at this new hair salon (G.O.A.T.) and getting his hair washed after his cut. He can't wait to go back!

So those are the week highlights. We had a major snowstorm Monday so Greg didn't get his holiday off but they may start paying him more generously when he has to work on a holiday so that helps. And if you didn't get the memo on Instagram and FaceBook, we'll be welcoming the first grand baby into our family around August 20th!

Brock's 11th birthday & a bit more

We had a fun week! We started with a Stake Conference weekend. We typically don't take our kids with us to our stake conference meetings because it just seems like undue torture for all involved. Well you can imagine our kids aren't sad to be left home but McClane and Charlie actually wanted to go to church so when we came home from stake conference Greg jokingly told the kids to get ready for church and he was going to take them to his parent's ward and obviously the older kids didn't even entertain this notion but McClane and Charlie came up dressed and ready and I felt kind of bad when we had to tell them their dad was only kidding. What good kids though! I hope they always happily get ready for church.
May they always be so obedient!
Our good friends have the cutest puppies at their house right now and I couldn't resist getting some puppy cuddles Monday night after we went out for a quick treat.
This is one of a 9 puppy litter of bernidoodles.
Then it was time for Brock's big day! He was excited to celebrate his birthday. He had a great birthday and was so happy to get the Cozmo robot he requested so now he and McClane can play with their robots together.
11 balloons for the 11th birthday.
Brock's buddy Will spent the afternoon with him, which Brock was happy about.

He loved the cool laser guns Will's mom bought for him.
And Jello cheesecake for the win!

It's been a nice week and only 60 more days until spring!

Bummer!

I had a fun week but I didn't take a single photo! I went shopping with friends at IKEA, went out to dinner and a movie with our friends and grounded my kids for the whole week so I didn't have to worry about extra kids at my house all week, it was kind of nice.
We saw "The Upside" at the movie and it's a FANTASTIC movie, I would highly recommend it!
I feel bad not having a photo so I'm going to do a throw back!
A sleeping tiny Charlie!

A sleeping tiny McClane!

Silly kids!

This was forever ago at Chucky Cheese!
So that's it! This coming week we'll be celebrating Brock's 11th birthday! Time flies when you're having fun and a lot of kids! Ha ha!

Happy New Year! Bring on 2019!

Happy New Year! We had a fun time ringing in the new year as a family and with our friends. I didn't get a lot of photos but I didn't forget to document the food!
A lot of favorites!

Our fun friends! (All their dimples get me every time.)
Remember when we watched "Bird Box" on Netflix!? Good movie and as a result we now are walking around blindfolded. Greg is even protecting Smalls. Ha!

Poor Carter thought he was getting his braces off yesterday and I even took a 'before' photo only to realize it's not until the 31st of the month. Oh well, at least it's not much longer.

And I just had to copy my younger brother, Tad and buy this cool Seinfeld t-shirt to add to my 'collection'. It's a little too big but I'm sure I'll find plenty of opportunities to wear it anyway.

So that's the start of our New Year! So far so good!
