FHE and one mini Oreo

Getting back to school puts me on a scheduling high! Everything runs a little smoother and I have a little more desire to do things like nightly family prayer and family home evening on Monday night. This Monday I even decided to splurge a little and we took the kids to Orange Leaf for some frozen yogurt. For some reason I decided to ignore the "kids cups" sign and just let everyone get a regular cup and do their own thing and it definitely hurt my pocketbook a little. A total of seven frozen yogurts and $27 dollars later, ouch! But the kids had fun and lesson learned for next time.
They love these funky chairs.
He's such a good boy.
He takes his frozen yogurt very seriously.
He had a sugar over load.
Mark can't ever be serious!
Kayli without a phone in her hands, it's like she's naked!
Charlie loved it!
Then the other day I thought Charlie might enjoy a mini Oreo cookie. She did enjoy it and this is the result of one tiny little cookie…
She's a mess and she knows it!
So that's the photo highlights of our week.  And another week of school was survived by all.

A week!

It's been a week! There have been messes…
She's cute enough to get away with this, FOR NOW!
"Who did this?!"
Ruckus rides…
Charlie's first Ruckus ride, she loved it of course.
The orthodontist's swim party was canceled due to lightning but not before a few boys got their fair share of sugar intake from all the free snowcones and cotton candy.
They were not hyper, AT. ALL!!
Brock was a true glutton.
Hanging out waiting to see if their names get drawn for the awesome prizes. No luck!
And of course we cannot forget the first day of school!!
Brock was beyond excited to head to 1st grade.
Carter had mixed emotions about starting 4th grade.
Isaac is more than ready to rule the school as a 'big deal' sixth grader.
Some went easier than others :-)
Mark thinks 9th grade is going to be too hard! (Or maybe his toothpick legs can't hold him up.)
Oh never mind, he's happy to be 'top dog' at his middle school.

And this is Kayli's last first day of high school, hopefully!  She's a little overwhelmed with being a senior but she's determined.
It's like summer never even happened.  It really feels like it was all just a dream or distant memory.  Here's hoping everyone makes it through this school year, especially Kayli and Mark!

Parade, fish grab and Charlie's birthday!

      Here it comes, photo overload!!!
The Alpine Parade wasn't too bad.

A little nostalgia.

Pigs do fly?!

This is actual size.
Then we had the fish grab for all the boys and they all did their dad proud.
McClane was first and caught more than one fish but they kept slipping out of his hands.

He caught one and he couldn't leave him alone.

Brock was in and out so fast I didn't even get one photo of him in the water.

Carter's turn.

He didn't waste any time and I love this action shot.

Not bad!

Isaac's up.

Oh yeah!

NICE!

Mark, last but not least.

He struggled.

And struggled, he pretty much had to chuck it out and pick it up off the grass.

They got them home and fried them up for dinner, yum!
    And then this happened.....
Princess Charlie is ONE!

Kayli and Charlie cruising the backyard.

Photo shoot with the birthday girl.

Charlie loves Isaac!

I actually made Charlie's birthday cake instead of purchasing one.

Happy birthday Charlie Rose!

Charlie had plenty of helpers to open her one wrapped gift.

Candy from Grandma Baker, YAY!

And money from Grandma & Grandpa Baker too, YIPPEE!!

Birthday cake free-for-all!

Charlie got to play with her new toy for a few minutes before her older brothers took it over.
Well that's the big events from our final week of summer vacation.  School starts Tuesday and everyone has their schedules and teacher assignments and now we just have to collect the necessary school supplies and load up the backpacks.  So long summer vacation, it's been REAL!
