Boys!

Not the most exciting week but here's a few photos I've taken of the kids this week.
McClane making a fort out of the laundry basket.

Isaac dressed as Thomas Jefferson and practicing his speech for his monthly book report.

McClane ready for a ride behind Mark.
So that's about it.  Mark and Isaac had their first baseball practices, Kayli attempted a little color guard practice but decided it wasn't the right time in her or our lives for such a huge commitment so she turned in her flag and decided maybe she'll try again next year.  (Don't judge me, but I was beyond relieved, the cost was most likely going to end up being nearly $2,000 dollars, NOT IN THE BUDGET!)  And today we get to listen to conference on TV meaning I get a little break from my primary responsibilities and our regular Sunday routine/chaos!  Now on to the rest of our weekend.

MUD!

This is what happens with just a little mud and a 18 month old boy.
  He couldn't be happier!

And with some nice weather there was a chance to go to the park too.

And we also went to the mall where the boys had a little fun with this huge cement stone and some dinosaur "bones".

    That's our week!

Just Another Week

Not a lot went on this week.  I was sick a few days and the kids spent a majority of their free time outside enjoying the warm weather.  Greg mowed the lawn for the first time this year and cleaned up all of my flower beds.  And last night the boys, Mark, Isaac and Carter, spent the night on the trampoline and thankfully it didn't rain and the wind didn't blow and they successfully stayed out there the whole night.
Here are a couple pictures of the boys from just yesterday.
Mark was showing Brock a cool library book he had before he left for school.

And here's McClane from last night.  Greg was cleaning the garage and while I cut the boys hair inside the house McClane hung out in here and for some reason the pad became a blanket instead of a place to sit.

And here's Brock proving he's just as cute as his little brother.
So that's about it.  I'll just tell you one quick little happening from the week.  It was Wednesday and Brock and McClane were outside a majority of the day and at one point they were in the garden and some how McClane fell and hit his head on some rebar Greg has to help stabilize the grape plants.  I was watching the boys out the window and saw that they were both crying.  McClane was hurt and Brock was crying because he was worried about McClane.  It was pretty cute because I knew Brock wasn't responsible but he was so concerned that McClane's head was bleeding and he didn't know what to do so he just cried.  It was a pretty good slash in the middle of his forehead but not deep and he was quickly consoled and then went right back outside only to have the dog knock him down on the deck and scrape up his nose which started the crying from both McClane and Brock all over again and when I told Brock McClane was ok he said, "He's not ok, he's hurt."  It was pretty sweet.

Ode to McClane (and a couple other boys).

McClane is a cute, sweet baby boy who keeps us busy but also rewards us in so many ways.  Here are a few recent photos of him and his sweeter side.

He's obsessed with putting any clothing item he can find over his head and walking around.
Listening in on his big sister's phone conversation.  He giggled every time they talked.  It was pretty cute.
And just a side note, if you ever call our house and the line is busy, 9 out of 10 McClane has taken the phone and left it somewhere off the hook.

Chillin' with Dad and Grandma Baker.

Lovin' Dad!

Could this be any cuter!?

So silly!

So then we have a few other boys and some silliness.  I have pictures of just a few of those moments of joy they've experienced this past week.

Dad and his big "baby" Mark!

This is right after mom mentioned this would be a perfect photo for the blog.

And just this morning, a chocolate milk blowing bonanza!
So that's about it.  Baseball try outs are today and both Mark and Isaac are signed up and the insanity officially will begin next month.  Can't Wait!

St. George!

Greg had a water conference to attend in St. George, Utah this past week and by one or two miracles, I was able to go with him while the six kids stayed home with my mom who was able to sacrifice a week of work and drive 700 miles to help me out.  THANK YOU is not enough to show my appreciation but she won't take money so that's about all I can offer.  Needless to say, the kids were in good hands and had a great time and so did Greg and I.
It's hard to get a good photo with just an iphone camera but we did our best.

Jumping on a hotel bed is ok, right?!  What else should we have used it for? Ha ha

A fun center "Fiesta Fun" was one of our activites.  We actually didn't really play these games just took photos to send the kids to make them feel bad.  We're the best parents ever!

We may not have actually played these games but we did ride the go-karts which was really fun.

This is what Greg was looking forward to the most, the skeet shoot.  He did pretty good for never practicing.

It was 50 shots and he got 25.  He was second place out of his two co-workers.

We ate out each night and had some yummy food.  We found a really yummy cookie shop "The Sugar Cookie"and had a few sugar cookies and brought a few home to the kids.  Mostly I just hung out in our hotel room and watched a lot of home design shows and baby stories.  Either I'm going to update the house or have a baby, I'm still debating!  Just kidding!
When we got home the kids were pretty chaotic and happy to see us.  McClane wasn't sure what to think of us.  I don't think he realized we were even gone until we were back.  There's no doubt I missed him the most but definitely enjoyed my little break.  Now back to REALITY!
