Isaac, completely on his own initiative, met with the Bishops counselor after church on Sunday so he could interview for his first Temple recommend. Moments like these are priceless!
Then Greg unveiled the siding project he's been working on.
Here's the before...kind of.
And the after.....
There's still quite a bit of work still to do but it's looking great so far. Greg is simply amazing!!
Then it was Thanksgiving and these two were rocking out ;-) (Really Charlie's throwing a fit but it looked like singing in the photo.)
And in this one too...
"Let it Go, Let it Go"
Then we were at Aunt Maridel and Uncle Steven's for the traditional Kmetzsch dinner. It was a small group but all the same yummy food was there to enjoy.
Here's a photo or 6 of the day.
Blurry but still cute.
Greg, Charlie, Logan and Jaime (Cousins).
Logan was so cute attacking Charlie and she was mostly tolerant.
Charlie made the rounds getting whatever she could. Aunt Kitty didn't seem to mind sharing at all.
Kmetzsch Thanksgiving 2014!
Happy Thanksgiving! Now on to Christmas and all that jazz ;-)
Charlie is super busy! She's into everything and goes non-stop. The minute I try to sit down she begins to climb all over me. It's a rare moment when she'll actually stop and sit on my lap for a quick snuggle. She's fun and exhausting and spoiled rotten. I need to get video of her "tantrums" because they're hilarious. She snorts like a bull, glares and has added folding her arms or throwing herself to the ground. It's awesome!
This is the rice cooker she frequently pulls out and plays with.
And this is how we do hair around here because if my theory is correct this kind of hairdo will speed up the growth. Either way, it works at keeping it out of the way.
And that's it for recent photos. I'll be posting before and after photos of the latest siding project on next week's post. It's done but tented in and therefore next to impossible to get a photo. Greg's done a great job! And can anyone explain how in the world it's already holiday season!? We went from practically summer like weather straight to freezing cold winter weather. I'm not ready for winter or Christmas but I'm very excited for the Kmetzsch Thanksgiving dinner!!
Isaac is officially a priesthood holder and a handsome deacon if you ask me.
After his ordination in the church parking lot.
We were so happy to have Greg's parents attend and of course, Aunt Ninin!
Monday morning Mark finally got his braces off. It's been a long six years of orthodontia and Mark is so glad to be done!
Before....
And AFTER!
Then for Family home evening I had the kids vacuum the house and then took them for ice cream at Arctic Circle. It would've been cheaper to just vacuum myself but it made for a fun FHE.
Some of these facial expressions just kill me ;-)
Then it was Greg's birthday. We kept it simple.
We headed to Cabela's to do a little shopping and Greg just couldn't pass up this awesome photo opportunity. Luke Bryan rocks!
McClane was in awe of all the cool stuff at Cabela's and was convinced we needed this huge 4-wheeler.
Cake, courtesy of Kayli.
What?! New boots! How did we know that's exactly what he needed?
Have I mentioned lately what a hard worker Greg is?! This guy can do practically anything he sets his mind to and works until dark and sometimes even later. Here is the finished siding project around the bedroom pop out.
The light makes a difference on how the color looks.
Brighter equals lighter.
And now he's starting the biggest part of the siding project, the west side of the garage.
This will hopefully be finished early next week. It's hard to resist these projects when the weather is staying so pleasant. I can't believe how nice the first week of November has been!
Well that's it, but to be kind I'll end with a cute photo or two, ok three photos, of our princesses.
Isaac is 12! I can't believe it. For his birthday Isaac requested a one night stay at a hotel and being a mom who doesn't care much for big birthday parties it sounded like a win, win for both of us, so we booked a night at a hotel in Orem and bought pizza and pumpkin pie and called it good. Isaac was kind enough to let his siblings join him for most of the fun but they weren't allowed to sleep over so after all the food and swimming fun I took the rest of the kids back home for Kayli and Mark to deal with and then headed back for the birthday boys sleep over. It was great minus the fact that we'd signed Isaac up for powwow that weekend so that put a little damper on things but he still got the continental breakfast, which was another one of his requests. And have I mentioned that Kayli can 'play me' perfectly when I'm not around. She did a great job taking care of everything at the house while I was gone.
An early birthday treat from his older siblings.
Pizza in a hotel room is just what Isaac ordered.
Isaac's dream come true!
All seven in the hot tub. Greg says we have to be done having kids because seven was the limit on the hot tub capacity.
Greg pretending to enjoy himself watching the kids swim at the hotel. He's such a good sport.
Then on Monday Kayli FINALLY got her license.
Our first licensed driver!
She still hasn't left on her own but she's really looking forward to purchasing her own car as soon as possible and enjoying an independence she's yet to truly appreciate.
Back to a little more birthday stuff.
Isaac's official birthday was on Tuesday so we had to stick to tradition with balloons and a gift.
12 birthday balloons.
Football receiving gloves and a football.
Birthday card and money from G & G Baker and he also received birthday money from G & G Kmetzsch earlier, thanks to both sets of grandparents from Isaac!
After a lot of pumpkin pie we opted for cheesecake for his actual birthday cake.
Ok now Halloween! Can I just say Halloween on a Friday combined with THE most beautiful weather....SCORE!
You can't beat this Halloween sunset!
This description will be in age order. A big sister, potential stick boy, robber, skeleton, zombie, spiderman and a cow 'girl'.
And during all this fun Greg's been hard at work on our bedroom exterior pop out.
Headway on Greg's project.
An after photo will be posted next week, he's in the process of painting as I type this post.
"Stick Boy"
Getting a running start.
I can't believe it's already November! It's mine and Greg's birthday month and it'll be the big 4-0 for me! SAY WHAT?! That's not even RIGHT! But it is an excuse to celebrate extra. :-) Maybe a hotel stay for both of us is in order, but we won't invite the kids.
