Bryce Canyon and more fun photo overload

So Greg decided, for a reward to himself after a long, stressful, Pressurized Irrigation season, he would take the three youngest kids and me down south to Bryce Canyon for a little adventure. After living in Utah his whole life and 26 years for me, it was about time we saw some of the natural wonders this State has to offer. (We would have taken more kids but sadly they have jobs and had to stay behind.)
When you just need to make a little Jiffy Pop but want to stay out on the porch.

It wasn't long into our adventure before we started seeing some really cool, but different, mountain views.
Let the fun begin. This was just shortly after leaving the Richfield area.

This was part of the Osiris Creamery, we think.

One of my favorite hidden treasures we found on our little adventure.

And now on to the main event.

So many cool view points and a lot of the same but different views.

This is all definitely worth seeing at least once in a lifetime.

This crow wanted to be in everyone's photos.

In between visiting national parks we took a little/long hike to Lower Calf Creek Falls and along the way were these cool petroglyphs.
If this isn't the 3 Nephites own petroglyph I'm going to be so bummed!

Lower Calf Creek Falls. A long hike/trail but worth it! (McClane might disagree.)

A great hiding spot along the trail.

The kids were all champs, no complaints from any of them, but it definitely was longer then any of us expected.

This was the National Park I wanted to see.

The Petroglyphs were definitely a favorite for the kids.

Headed out to see Hickman's Bridge. A much shorter/easier hike then the day before.

The front and back view of Hickman's bridge.

Another fun cubby hole.

The beams above the pool at the hotel were pretty awesome.

The kids were more excited about swimming in the hotel pool then anything else.

Cute little chipmunk.

Once we got home it was back to school and real life.

Crazy hair day!

Happy 19th birthday to Isaac.

Halloween day at school for these two!

Only three more Halloween parades to go, for me!

So that's probably enough updating for more then a week but I'm sure I'll find something to share next weekend anyway. Happy Halloween weekend!

Charlie's fun fall break + Beau and Harley

Charlie's fall break was fun and she had the best time with her buddies, J.T. and Julius, at Cornbelly's and the Scarecrow Festival. She's lucky to have such fun friends who like to include her in their fun.

We also had some fun with cute baby Harley and Beau, who dropped by a couple different times this past week.
Cute smiley Harley.

Window-sitting buddies.

So that's some fun stuff from this week and tomorrow we're headed down south to Bryce Canyon for the weekend so we'll post all that fun next week. Greg's looking forward to getting away for the first time in six months!

Piano recital and fall break fun

Charlie and McClane had a fall piano recital this past week. They both played their pieces really well and despite a nervous 'breakdown' for Charlie, she got it together and played her songs with only a few mistakes. It was her first piano recital so hopefully the nerves don't attack as hard next time.
Not the best photo but this was Charlie's first piano recital so it's for memory's sake.

For fall break we didn't plan anything super crazy but we decided to take the two younger boys to Nickel City and Olive Garden for dinner while Charlie went with a friend to Cornbelly's. I think everyone had a fun time.

McClane did great at this game.

So today marks the end of the P.I. water season so now maybe Greg can relax and take some, much needed, time off from work. We have a little weekend getaway planned for next weekend when he's not on-call, which should be fun. Now on to enjoying a few more days off from school and work!
